Styling for your junior bridesmaids/flower girls

JUNIOR BRIDESMAIDS

“A junior bridesmaid is a younger member of the wedding party who falls between the ages of a flower girl and bridesmaid (usually about eight to 16, or whatever ages you feel are appropriate). She might be a younger sister or sister-in-law, a niece, a cousin, a daughter, or a close family friend”.

So how on earth do you style (hair and makeup) for that age group?! They will want to feel included and part of the bridal crew but it needs to be age appropriate but not toooo cute - HELP!!!!

The first four images are of bridesmaids in this age group. Half up dos and/or braids work well and sit in well with adult hair styling.

Makeup wise, I find mineral powders work very well on that age skin as look so natural and absorb any oils. Beiges, taupes and pinks work on the eyes and lips - nothing too bright or dark.

The fifth image is of a 4 year old flower girls hair. I just braided two strands at the top and secured in a band, leaving the rest of the hair down.

Are you having junior bridesmaids & flower girls? Let me know what styles you are planning for your younger crew…
